Dick,

I'd like to recommend that beginning next year we extend the deadline for
panel programs by at least a month.  Since the annual meeting is in late
Fall, there is really not much time to plan a SIG program by January, due to
holidays, etc.  In the case of the SIG MED group, we had discussed a few
topics for co-sponsorship with the SIG-CR rep (the chair was ill) at the SIG
planning in Milwaukee.  However, we had no way to contact that group since
the chair was apparently still ill.

Please consider moving the deadline for SIG panels to the end of February.
Although I am an officer of  SIG MED, this opinion is mine and does not
reflect the thinking of the group.

I am routing this to SIG-MED for their consideration of posters or short
papers by Feb 29.

The Annual Meeting planning committee has extended the deadline for 
POSTERS and Short Papers submissions from Feb 21, 2008 to Feb 29, 2008.

NEW DEADLINE for Poser and Short Paper Proposals is 
		Febreuary 29, 2008

All other proposal deadlines have already passed.
