[Sighfis-l] ASIST History Fund Awards announced

I am pleased to announce the following winners of the ASIST History Fund
grant award and best paper award for 2010:

 

Best paper award: Sarah Buchanan (UCLA), for her paper: "Names the
Same?: The Los Angeles Chapter of ASIST upon its Semicentennial." The
award has a $500 prize. 

 

History Fund grant award: Andrew Russell (Asst. Prof., Stevens Institute
of Technology), for his proposal, "An open world: ideological origins of
network standards." The grant is for $1,000. 

 

Congratulations to these two folks for their fine work.
