It was with great sorrow that I received the news of Ev Brenner's death. 

Ev died peacefully last Wednesday night (Jan 25, 2006).  The funeral was on
Friday, Jan 27, 2006.

Additional information welcome.  

Eve as a long time member, active in planning meeting programs and on
committees.  He was a well-known author as a columnist in various
publications.
