[Sighfis-l] Announcement of Chair and Chair-Elect

Hello SIG HFIS:

I'm pleased to announce the new Chair and Chair-Elect of SIG HFIS.

The Chair for 2005-2006 is Dr. Julian Warner, from the Queen's  
University at Belfast.  His research interests pull from literary  
studies, librarianship, and information science.  He has crafted a  
humanistic research program that combines semiotics, historical  
studies of copyright, information technology, and labour.  Summary of

The Chair-Elect  for 2005-2006 (Chair in 2006-2007) is Kathryn La  
Barre, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Her  
research interests include information organization and access  
systems and structures; historical and theoretical foundations of the  
field of library and information science especially as relating to  
information organization and access and information architecture;  
cognitive processing of information; category and concept formation.
