Keynote speaker is Stewart Brand. A pioneer of the electronic frontier and the founder of the Whole Earth Catalog, cofounder of The Well, and author of The Media Lab: Inventing the Future at MIT and, most recently, How Buildings Learn. Howard Rheingold, characterizes Brand as someone who "evolved into a legendary figure, historic even, who is, year in and year out, the most interesting and influential thinker I know."
