Dear SIG ED Members,

We are trying to do something different with this month's newsletter - instead of publishing the usual articles and announcements, we would like to try to use the newsletter as a way to introduce the members to each other before the upcoming ASIS&T Annual Meeting.

The problem of insufficient knowledge about other scholars who may have similar interests and are working on projects that have thematic or methodological overlap with each other is well recognized. This is an attempt to reduce the knowledge gap within SIG ED community and help connect members with shared interests.

If this sounds like a good idea to you, please reply to me (khanova at unc.edu<mailto:khanova at unc.edu>) with a few words about your research interests and current/planned projects - anything you would like to share with fellow SIG ED members, anything you might seek collaborators or advisors on, anything you would want to be recognized in the community for. If you would like to include a picture (nothing like putting a face with a name) that would be great, particularly if you are planning to attend the Annual Meeting - it will help colleagues to identify you in the conference crowd.

Looking forward to hearing about you and your research!

Thank you,
Julia
