Looking for active participation, leadership, and
key discussion topics
What changes in LIS curricula are in progress nationally and
internationally?
What education and training in addition to LIS is essential?
What specialists skills are needed in libraries and information centers to
match changing requirements?
What role does non traditional education play (i.e. distance education,
continuing education, etc.)?
What research and organizational studies offer guidance (i.e. Hernon, Powell
and Young, Kaliper, SLA Competencies, others?)
What programs should SigEd propose for ASIST 2005 in Charlotte, North
Carolina?
