Supporting Users’ Exploration in Digital Libraries (SUEDL)

Aims

SUEDL aims to stimulate discussion and collaboration between experts,
practitioners and stakeholders in digital libraries, cultural heritage,
human-computer interaction, user evaluation, interactive information
retrieval, and NLP, in order to investigate the latest advances in
supporting users’ access to and exploration in large-scale and complex
digital libraries.

Topics

We invite the submission of papers and demonstrations on the following (and
related) topics:


   -

   Navigation of information spaces
   -

   Information discovery and exploration
   -

   Visualisation of information spaces
   -

   Support for sensemaking and creativity
   -

   Support for learning
   -

   User modelling
   -

   User-adaptive technologies
   -

   Personalization and recommendation
   -

   Information behaviour
   -

   User-centred evaluation
   -

   Crowd sourcing and user generated content
   -

   Content enrichment
   -

   Any other technique which supports exploration of Digital Libraries


Full papers (completed research, case studies) and short papers (position
papers, late breaking results) are welcomed, from both academic researchers
and industry practitioners working in this area. For demonstrations, we
encourage both the submission of early research prototypes and interesting
mature systems.

Submission

Authors are invited to submit original unpublished research, industry
papers and demonstrations related to the topics listed above. We invite:


   -

   full papers (8 to 12 pages)
   -

   short papers (2 to 6 pages)
   -

   demos (2-4 pages)


All papers should be written in English, prepared in the Springer’s LNCS
format <http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0>, and
submitted in PDF format via the workshop Easy Chair submission page:
