Hello everybody,
The AM 07 program planning committee of SIG-DL invites proposals for panel
sessions in traditional (lecture style) and new formats (debate, lab,
etc.) to be held at the ASIS&T Annual Meeting "Joining Research and
Practice: Social Computing and Information Science", October 18-25, 2007,
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Panels and symposia present topics for discussion such as cutting-edge
research and design, analyses of hot or emerging trends, opinions on
controversial issues, reports by practitioners on current information
science and technology projects, and contrasting viewpoints from experts
in complementary professional areas.
For a complete list of the panel topics and session organizers that we've
identified, for which planning is in progress, please visit the sig-dl
wiki, http://bioivlab.ils.unc.edu/sandbox/SIG-DL/index.php/Main_Page. If
you have a proposal/paper that fits any of the mentioned areas, please
email the session organizer(s) right away. We also encourage you to email
us if you have other topics for panels or symposia/workshops or NEW
FORMATS of panels such as crit labs, usability sessions, etc. We
especially urge you to consult the AM Call For Papers which is available
online for specifics, http://www.asis.org/Conferences/AM07/am07cfp.html.
Submission of Proposals (Due: 2/13/2006):
- If you are interested in any of the topics listed above, please contact
the organizer(s) of the corresponding panel and collaborate with them on
the panel proposal.
- If you have your own proposal, that you want to be sponsored by SIG-DL,
contact us to ask for the SIG-DL's sponsorship, BEFORE submission.
