join Information Development & Management with primary reporting=20
relationship to the Project Manager, Collection Information Systems and=20=

secondary with the Director, Electronic Resources. Information=20
Development & Management is the group whose responsibility it is to=20
foster development of staff and projects related to the middle-space=20

information professionals are brought together to solve problems=20
involved in information delivery and access. As part of this group, the=20=

successful candidate is responsible for building relationships with=20
other professionals in order to create a climate in which innovative=20
services and programs can be developed and flourish.

profession. In order to foster a community of practice interested in=20
digital libraries within the university, the incumbent will coordinate=20=

the activities of ISD=92s Digital Library Roundtable, a group of faculty=20=

institutions; and prioritizing new digital archives for creation and/or=20=

migration to the Web.

She/He will coordinate the evaluation of resource overlap among=20
aggregators in collaboration with selectors; manage licenses and=20
intellectual property rights of digital resources; gather and analyze=20
usage statistics; and work with the appropriate departments to see that=20=

electronic resource information is current.

A major responsibility of this position will be evaluating policies and=20=

procedures related to the selection of electronic resources and digital=20=

archives and the maintenance of the Electronic Resources Database.=20
She/He will make recommendations on process improvements and work with=20=

the appropriate departments to implement changes and coordinate=20
migration of the current Electronic Resources Database to the=20
Collection Information System (CIS) currently under implementation.

CIS. In this role, she/he will coordinate the programmatic needs of the=20=

CIS with teaching faculty, ISD personnel, and external partners=20
including outreach and investigation of new collection options and=20
system enhancements. Working with appropriate departments, especially=20
the library systems group which is responsible for the CIS=92s technical=20=

infrastructure, the Digital Resources Librarian will prioritize=20
collections and enhancements for their inclusion in the system; create=20=

proposals and budgets for system enhancements and collection creation;=20=
