[Sigdl-l] [CNI-ANNOUNCE] NSF/DELOS Report on Personalization

 From time to time, the National Science Foundation's digital library 
program has collaborated with the European Community in chartering groups 
of researchers from both sides of the Atlantic to develop white papers on 
research opportunities on specific areas related to digital libraries and 
networked information. The first series of these reports were produced in 
the late 1990s and can be found at

Over the past year, NSF and DELOS have sponsored a new series of working 
groups, and the reports are now coming out. These reports (and descriptions 
of the working groups) can be found from
http://www.dli2.nsf.gov/intl.hmtl . At present, there are reports on 
digital imagery for cultural and historical material, spoken-word audio 
collections and personalization.


I had the opportunity to participate in the working group exploring 
personalization and digital libraries, and our group's report is now 
available. I hope that CNI-announce readers interested in this topic will 
find the report of value.
