[Sigcrit-l] Re: Sigcrit-l digest, Vol 1 #44 - 6 msgs

In response to Ron -- I think syllabi would be a good addition to see how
CRIT is absorbed into our teaching practice (of course we could make some
criteria up so that only those courses directly addressing relevant aspects
are included, not sections of courses).

And, in response to Lew's note on who we are (I am wondering the same
thing), we could post brief statements of introduction about our research,
teaching and the reason why we are interested in maintaining this
community. We could maintain on the website a list of links to websites for
each person who wants to have their information listed in that way,
together with a name and the position statement on how they identify
themselves in relation to critical information theory and perhaps published
work which they consider reflects that orientation. To make this manageable
for Gerry, perhaps we can have a call for introductions in the next little
while when people could come forward. I would be willing to collect and
compile the information to pass it on first to Ron for the list (weekly
digest, for the next two months?), and then to Gerry for the web. Or, we
can have a submission form at the website that feeds into a database --
which is a different concept (excludes the 'performance' aspect) but it has
other advantages.

In addition to the statement of purpose which does reflect the eclectic
nature of this group, I would put some historical context in (when
established, who were the initiators, and their reasoning) which could be
provided by the founding persons.
