[Sigcr-l] Invitation to the 6th European Networked Knowledge Organization Systems (NKOS) Workshop at ECDL 2007

Registration for the 6th European Networked Knowledge Organization 
Systems (NKOS) Workshop at the 11th ECDL Conference, Budapest, Hungary 
on September 21st 2007 is still open. It is possible to register for the 
workshop only, in case one does not want to attend the whole conference.

The main themes of the workshop sessions are:

1: Folksonomies and Social tagging, 3 papers from the UK, Canada and Germany

2: Panel Discussion on Project ISO NP 25964: Structured vocabularies for 
information retrieval, 4-5 panelists,
i.e. the innovative solutions reg. a data model and XML schema for a 
structured vocabulary developed in the ongoing BS 8723-5 standard work

3: Implications of online KOS applications, 5 papers featuring facet 
analysis, webification of the DDC, terminology registries, encoding 
formats and SPARQL access to interlinked sources.

4: Mapping, 2 papers from Germany (cross-concordances effort) and 
Poland/Ireland
