Dear ASIST SIG/CR members:

We are seeking nominations for persons interested in serving as SIG/CR
officers.  The open positions are:
- Chair-elect, to serve as chair in 2004
- Secretary/Treasurer for 2003
- Communications Officer for 2003.

The duties of the Chair-elect involve the coordination of sessions for the
ASIST Annual Meeting; the Chair's duties involve the organization of the
Classification Research Workshop.
The Secretary/Treasurer will overview the financial situation of the SIG.
The Communications Officer will create, coordinate, and maintain a SIG/CR
website.

The current officers are:
Chair, 2002:  Jens-Erik Mai
Chair-Elect, 2003:  Denise Bedford
Past-Chair, 2001:  Efthimis Efthimiadis
Secretary/Treasurer:  Allyson Carlyle
Communications Officer:  Kyle Banerjee
Cabinet Representative:  Efthimis Efthimiadis

Please forward nominations (self-nominations or otherwise) to Jens-Erik Mai,
at jemai at u.washington.edu no later than November 1, 2002.  

The nomination should include full name, email address, and a brief bio not
more than a paragraph.  Following the nominations we will then post the
nominations and members of the SIG can cast their votes.
