I am currently conducting research into the CRSG, the Classification
Research Study Group. The CRSG met at the annual conventions of ALA,
SLA and ADI (which became ASIS and now ASIST). It was primarily composed
of members in the United States and Canada. The group held meetings
between the years 1959 and 1970. The group served as the nucleus
of SIG/CR in the early 1970's.

Phyllis Richmond and Pauline Atherton Cochrane were co-founders of the
CRSG. I am currently working with Pauline, and have visited several
archives in search of the output of this group. If you attended any of
CRSG meetings, or have any CRSG newsletters or related correspondence I
would enjoy speaking with you. (Archives visited include CWRU,
Rhode Island, Babbage Institute, Syracuse.)

Thanks!
