In the April/May 2002  issue of Updtae, the NY Acad of Sci Magazine,
Nobelist Torsten N. Wiesel states that "We are also making efforts to begin
groups in currently "hot" scientific areas. For example, this spring we'll
start a new program on bioinformaics to help meet the increasing demadn in
this area.
