Hi all, Some quick updates from SIG-AH:

Our Chair, Jeremy L. McLaughlin, was guest editor of the June/July issue of the ASIS&T Bulletin Special – Section on A New Open Humanities, drawing from themes explored during the SIG AH and SIG VIS Symposium in April. See that here: https://www.asist.org/publications/bulletin/junejuly-2017/

If you’re looking for the slides from our 2017 virtual symposium held in April, you can now find them on Figshare: https://figshare.com/authors/Symposium_on_Information_and_technolology_in_the_arts_and_humanities/740215

SIG AH and SIG VIS are sending out an updated Call for Student Papers for our award. Work is eligible if it is previously unpublished student research related to the theme of open science in the Humanities. We have revised the requirements from what you saw earlier this year, so check out the details. The new deadline is September 15, 2017. http://www.asis.org/SIG/SIGAH/2016/10/23/2017-cfsp/

Happy summer,
Tim
