Hello everyone,

Hope you are enjoying the summer. There are a number of things that are coming due and this is the start of a few emails reminding you of them. I wanted to start with the SIG member of the year nominations:

"The purpose of the award is to recognize the service of an individual to the program of a particular SIG. It is given for significant contributions to the membership of the SIG through participation in and support of its events at the annual meeting, its publications, and its other activities. Any ASIS&T member who is currently a member of the nominating SIG is eligible to receive the award. More than one awardee may be chosen in a given year. The same person may not receive the award in two consecutive years." (SIG Officers Manual p. 23-24)

Please consider nominating one or more of your members! Nominations officially opened on June 15th and close on August 15th.

There is an electronic submission page with guidelines available here: https://www.asist.org/about/awards/sig-member-of-the-year/

Please contact me if you have questions!

I know we have some excellent SIG members so I'm looking forward to a great nomination pool!

Kris
