The ASIST annual meeting time is almost here! Looking forward to seeing you
all in Seattle. Some important SIG reminders and announcements:

The SIG Cabinet meeting is scheduled for 8:30 am on Sunday November 2nd (you’ll
get to turn your clocks back 1 hour because of daylight savings time – so
this isn’t as early as it seems!)

Be sure that one person attends to represent your SIG! Some SIGs elect
Cabinet representatives, if your SIG doesn’t that is not a problem. This is
what the manual has to say on the issue: “if neither the Cabinet
Representative nor Alternate representative is in attendance an automatic
chain of command for representation takes effect: Chair, Chair-elect,
Secretary-Treasurer.” Note: You are not required to send an officer (but it
is ideal if you do).

This is a call for SIG Cabinet meeting agenda items. Please send those to
klabarre at illinois.edu

<klabarre at illinois.edu>We'll be sending the agenda and the slate of Cabinet
officers for the election at the SIG Cabinet officers at our meeting on
Sunday November 2nd.

SIG Planning sessions are scheduled Monday November 3 and Tuesday November 4
th. To see when (and where) your SIG will meet please check this list:

Room 1 is the Madronna room

Room 2 is the Juniper room

In preparation for your SIG’s business meeting:

You can access the financial reports and allocations for your SIG here:

To discuss the upcoming changes on the ASIST website, and what that means
for your SIG web presence potentially, the SIG Cabinet Director and Deputy
Director (and Deputy Director-elect) would like to request 5-10 minutes on
your SIG’s agenda. We can stick around for any questions you may have as
well.
