The table below contains SIG FY14 allocation amounts. These are figured
from the SIG membership numbers as of 5/30/2013. The allocation of each SIG
represents a percentage of the $12,000 in the ASIS&T budget for SIG
activities. I'm sending this a bit early this year (the information is due
to SIGs by mid-July). Most SIGs will find that they spend their full
allocation at the annual meeting. You must file a budget in order to spend
your funds.

FY13 ends on September 30, 2013.
As of this day, all unspent FY2013 allocations are forfeit - they are not
carried over.

FY14 begins on October 1, 2013 and runs until September 30, 2014

Other funds for SIGs:
ASIS&T also provides $10,000 for the SIG Projects and Reserve fund.
Different constraints on this money - applications must be filed 90 days
prior to need, for loans, cost-sharing projects, and some grants. The last
day to file an application for the remaining money in this fund ($5000) is
June 30. The SIG cabinet reviews these applications. If you have questions
please contact Kathryn La Barre klabarre at illinois.edu or Chris Landbeck
clandbeck at fsu.edu

Funding Timeline:
SIG budgets are due on September 15. I'll be sending directions for the
process soon. Budgets for FY2014 will be filed via web-accessible form.

January, 2014: SIGs receive an accounting of their fund status as of
December (reflects expenditures at annual). You will have a chance to send
a revised budget. SIGs with remaining allocation funds and no filed budget
will be asked to release their allocations at this time.

In mid-February an application process for released allocations will
commence.
