Hi all -

If you are interested in running for, or nominating someone else to run for, one of the open ASIS&T SIG Cabinet elected positions, please let me know by the end of the weekend. I will be preparing the ballot early next week for distribution at the SIG Cabinet meeting on Sunday 10/28. Here are the open positions:

Cabinet Director (3 year term, first year is as Director-Elect): This position is part of the executive team for the SIG Cabinet, and shares responsibility for SIG management (including financial), communication, programming, and awards. The Director-Elect has voice and secondary vote on the ASIS&T Board of Directors.

Cabinet Advisor (2 year term): Three positions are available on the advisory council to the Cabinet Directors. Advisors approve major budget requests from the SIGs, serve as the jury for the Member and Publication of the year awards, and generally assist the Directors with planning and management projects.

SIG of the Year Jury (2 year term): This position reviews SIG nominations for the annual award. All work is done electronically, mainly in August and early September.

For the Director and Advisors positions I will need a very short bio to include on the ballot. Many thanks for volunteering to support your SIG home(s) in the society!
