Greetings!

You are cordially invited to attend a breakfast meeting hosted by SIG/HFIS (History and Foundations) at the upcoming Annual Meeting in Milwaukee on the morning of Wednesday, October 24th at 7am.

The mission of SIG/HFIS is to develop theories, fundamental concepts, and models of information science and cybernetics so that satisfactory theoretical frameworks will ultimately generate better information systems and services. It embraces philosophical, semiological, mathematical, physical, biological, psychological and sociological disciplines.

Agenda for the meeting: A short planning session will be followed by an opportunity to discuss your own research in this area, and upcoming opportunities for funding and publication. You need not be a member of ASIS&T or HFIS to attend this event.

We can only accept the first 30 reservations so don't delay. Those interested in attending are requested to send an email by September 4th, with your name, affiliation and a brief statement of research interests to:

Kathryn La Barre, Assistant Professor
Graduate School of Library and Information Science
