[Sig-l] Scheduling of SIG workshops for 07

Greeting Dick
I understand the need to move SIG pre con events to _after_ the
conference. My question is, will these post conference events be
allowed to price themselves to "break even" rather than generating a
return to ASIST? Or will all pre and post con events be required to
generate a return to ASIST? Can you please provide clarification of
this point?
Background:
SIG SI (in collaboration with other SIGs) intends to continue offering
annual or biannual pre/post con research symposium where researchers can
disseminate work in progress (e.g., shorter papers). An increase in
costs would discourage attendance at our events and particularly
attendance by cash starved PhD students.
Respectfully yours,
Kristin
