[Sig-l] SIG VIS Call For Papers

The Visualization, Images, and Sound SIG is in the process of revitalization.  The group is looking for presentations to sponsor at the ASIST 2004 annual conference.
 
We are open to any ideas for contributed papers or panels consistent with the interest of the SIG as well as the conference theme, "Managing and Enhancing Information: Cultures and Conflicts."  We are also interested in co-sponsoring sessions with other SIGs.  Possible topics include, but are certainly not limited to:
 
-- History of information visualization 
-- The use of sound and music in image and video retrieval 
-- Visual representation of information
-- Non-textual tools to aid in information discovery
 
Please contact me with any ideas you might have.  Submissions are due to ASIST on January 17.
