[Pasig-discuss] Arguments for keeping an onsite copy of digitally preserved/stored digital content?

We’re moving some of our archival content to cloud providers - but it’s providers, *plural*, and we fully intend to keep at least one, probably two online copies in facilities owned by Stanford.
Data migrations are a fact of life, no matter what any one particular vendor says. So you have to design your systems to tolerate them, and even tolerate the sudden loss of any one provider.
