Dear Colleagues,

We hope you will take this final opportunity to propose a presentation, demo, or workshop for the next Personal Digital Archiving conference, to be held 29-31 March 2017 in Palo Alto, CA.

Proposals are due by this Friday, 25 November.

You can submit a proposal here:
https://library.stanford.edu/projects/personal-digital-archiving-2017/submit-proposal. More information about the conference can be found here: https://library.stanford.edu/projects/personal-digital-archiving-2017/<https://library.stanford.edu/projects/personal-digital-archiving-2017/submit-proposal>.

We are thrilled to share that our keynote speakers for PDA 2017 will be Kim Christen<https://english.wsu.edu/kimberly-christen/> and Gary Wolf<https://www.ted.com/speakers/gary_wolf>!

We are also excited to announce that the day before the PDA conference, on 28 March 2017, Stanford University Libraries will once again host the Born Digital Archiving Exchange (see this post<https://saaers.wordpress.com/2016/08/10/the-best-of-bdax-five-themes-from-the-2016-born-digital-archiving-exhange/> for info on last year's event). BDAX is an annual unconference that provides digital archivists and others with a forum for sharing the technical skills and practices that support the more efficient acquisition, management, and dissemination of born-digital archival materials. For more information about BDAX, please contact Michael Olson (molson at stanford.edu<mailto:molson at stanford.edu>).

These conferences were specifically co-scheduled to encourage co-attendance and cross pollination. If you have ever wanted to attend more than one event in the same week, this is your chance to come to the San Francisco Bay Area and add your voice and expertise to your peer community!

All best,

Josh Schneider (on behalf of the PDA 2017 planning and program committees)
