~*~ Apologies for cross posting ~*~
This year’s International Digital Preservation Conference iPres2015 will take place from November 2 – 6. The conference is at capacity and registration has been closed but we’ve devised some special sessions that anyone can participate in – you don’t have to be there to be part of the community! Will you join us?
You can tweet in using the special hashtags below, or add your comments to a special Tricider:
1. Tuesday November 3rd – Opening keynote ‘Spotlight: This Year’s Noteworthy Progress and Achievements in Digital Preservation’ (9am – 10am): ‘What would you highlight as significant developments or outcomes over the past year?’ #ipres2015 #lastyear
2. Wednesday November 4th – ‘Preservation Storage Community Discussion’ (10.30 – 12 noon): Let’s talk storage! Burning and not so burning questions welcome. #ipres2015 #presstore
3. Wednesday November 4th – ‘Policy and Practice Documentation Clinic’ (1pm – 2.30pm): From policy to practice – learning by sharing #ipres2015 #policy
4. Thursday November 5th – ‘ Watch This Space: What’s Happening in the Digital Preservation Community that Might Become Next Year’s Highlights?’ (4pm – 5pm)
‘What would you recommend to others in the digital preservation community to watch over the next year?’ #ipres2015 #nextyear
This is your chance to have a virtual presence at the conference. You can highlight some great stuff that you’ve been working on, or just some of your favourite ideas. We’d love to hear from you, whichever way.
Don’t wait until the big day to contribute – get started now on Twitter www.twitter.com<http://www.twitter.com> or Tricider http://www.tricider.com/brainstorming/3YaH2SJCkG7 & http://www.tricider.com/brainstorming/2rrpP9A5Gbx
You can also tune into the keynotes, livestreamed from 14.00 – 15.00 GMT on Wednesday November 4th and Thursday November 5th. Details of these at http://ipres2015.web.unc.edu/home/keynote-speakers/
Join the conversation and let’s make this the most social iPres ever!
Maureen, Eld, Nancy, Cal, Helen, Leo, Yukio & Jon.
