[Pasig-discuss] Reminder: APARSEN invites opinions about DRM and Data Policies

Dear colleagues, 

 

for several weeks now, the two surveys about 

.         Digital Rights and Access Management and 

.         Data Policies and Governance Structures 

of the European Network of Excellence for digital preservation, APARSEN,
are open. We are convinced that you input is strongly important and
valuable for APARSEN and the long term preservation community. 

 

The survey duration has been extended to October 14th 2013. 

 

Here you find the information to participate: 

 

Digital Rights and Access Management The goal of this activity is to find
out how you deal with DRM protected digital objects and their associated
digital rights. We are strongly interested in what you - as a memory
institution, a research institution, a data center or any other kind of
organization - do to preserve these kind of objects and what you undertake
to guarantee digital rights now and, of course, in the future.

All data submitted are treated as strictly confidential per default. At
the end of the questionnaire you find additional the possibility to
declare under what conditions you be willing to share the information with
a wider community.

Data Policies and Governance Structures The goal of this activity is
devising a methodology for implementing governance structures and data
policies based on current best practice regarding digital preservation. We
are strongly interested in your opinion, in your data repository, on data
policies and governance structures.
