Call for Contributions
The Doctoral Consortium is a workshop for Ph.D. students who are in the early phases of their research work. Ideally, students should be in the stage of defending their thesis proposal, and yet still away from finishing the research, so they can benefit from participating in the consortium.
The goal of the Doctoral Consortium is to help students with feedback and general advice in a constructive atmosphere. A panel of prominent professors and experienced practitioners in the field of will conduct the workshop.
The workshop will take place on September 2, 2013. During the workshop, each student will have time to present his/her actual thesis proposal, what has been achieved so far and the future plans. After that, time will be reserved for discussion and feedback from the experts and other participants.
There is no registration fee for students who are accepted for the Doctoral Consortium.
Students interested in participating in the Doctoral Consortium should submit a 6 to 8 page paper (see "Information for Authors" on the format of the submission), and send it by email to: ipres2013 at ist.utl.pt<mailto:ipres2013 at ist.utl.pt>

The submission should:
