*Vote in the 2017 New England Archivists election*
Members should have received an email from Election Buddy (invitations at app.
electionbuddy.com) with the subject "Vote now: New England Archivists 2017
Election." Emails might be flagged as spam, so please check your spam
folders if you did not receive the email.

available on the NEA website <https://newenglandarchivists.org/Elections>. The
voting deadline is Dec 18, 2017. If you have not received an email and
believe you should have, or if you experience any difficulty, please

*Volunteer for the Awards Committee*
The New England Archivists Representatives-at-Large seek NEA members to
serve on the Awards Committees to help review applications for the Hale
Professional Development Award

Award <https://newenglandarchivists.org/awards/haas/>, and the A/V
Professional Development Award <https://newenglandarchivists.org/av_award/>.
No prior experience with NEA or with awards committees is required. To
volunteer, send an email to the NEA Representatives-at-Large (
RepAtLarge at newenglandarchivists.org) with your name, contact info, and the
name of the award selection committee(s) on which you would like to serve
by Monday, December 7th. If we receive more volunteers than we have spaces
for, volunteers will be selected at random.

*Volunteer to be Mentoring Program Administrator*
The Mentoring Administrator is responsible for supporting the mentoring
liaisons, mentors, and mentees and will launch the next round of the Mentoring
Program <https://newenglandarchivists.org/mentoring/>. S/he will recruit
and organize the liaisons and work with the Communications Committee to
promote the activities of the program. The person in this position will be a
member of the Membership Committee and will serve for two years.
If you are interested in this great opportunity to get involved with NEA
and help develop one of our newer innovative programs, please prepare a
short statement of purpose and email it to the Co-Chairs of the Membership
Committee: Pamela Hopkins (psmhopkins at gmail.com or Heather Mumford (
Heather_Mumford at hms.harvard.edu).

*Apply for financial assistance to attend the Spring 2018 Meeting*
NEA members can apply for financial assistance to attend "Rise Up," the
Spring 2018 Meeting <https://newenglandarchivists.org/Spring-2018> in New
Haven (March 22-28, 2018). Both students
<https://newenglandarchivists.org/VonSalis> and non-students
<https://newenglandarchivists.org/meeting_travel> can apply for assistance. The
application period is now open; the deadline for applying is January 15.
