*About the talk*

Chris will lead a talk on common methods of practice used within the field
of User Experience (UX) with a focus on what UX today encompasses.  The
talk will also include a quick and practical discussion of user research
and usability evaluation.

*About the speaker*

Chris LaRoche has worked as a technical writer, information designer, user
researcher, and usability consultant for over eighteen years. He is a User
Experience Consultant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
and a lecturer at the College of Professional Studies (CPS) at Northeastern
University, where he has taught for over a dozen years.
