Workshop Description:

Second in a series of introductory topics in museum archives, this 
beginning-level workshop focuses on the on the basics of processing 
archival and manuscript collections. Participants will gain hands-on 
experience, practicing appraising, arranging, and describing a sample 
collection. Whether you're new to the profession, have taken on 
additional collections responsibilities, or just want to brush up on 
some archival theory and practice, the "Archives 101" series can give 
you the skills and confidence to approach the seeming chaos of a new 
collection, begin to tackle the records of your organization, or just 
make it easier for researchers and staff to access information!

Intended for:
Those with some responsibility for an institution's library and 
archives, and those who just want some practice working with collections.
