We're trying something new this Spring! Since we are all incredibly busy this time of year, especially for those of us who work in academic settings, we will be trying out a new format for the NEASIST Book Club. In the future we will be adding journal articles, or in this case a presentation, to our regular book rotation.

Our first "Journal Club" selection will be Stay Ahead of the Shift: What Publishers Can Do to Flourish in a Community-Centric Web World, the transcript, accompanied by video (http://www.slideshare.net/idealogical/stay-ahead-of-the-shift), of a presentation given at BookExpo America on May 28th, 2009. It is a forward thinking look at the publishing world, with a lot of repercussions for libraries.

Please join us at Johnny D's to discuss this presentation, and this new format for the book club. See you there!
