[Neasis-l] NEASIST- volunteer to be our chapter archivist or membership chair

Dear NEASIST members and student members,

Are you interested in getting more involved with the chapter in some  
fun and interesting ways? We have two positions we are looking to fill  
for the upcoming year (which begins after the ASIST annual meeting  
this fall and lasts for one year).

Membership chair
This person leads the effort to recruit new members to our chapter,  
and reaches out to new or lapsed members..  She or he comes up with  
fun, interesting and creative ideas for increasing our membership.

Shall we do a recruitment video for YouTube? Recruit via Twitter?  
Offer deep discounts or other rewards? We need someone with a creative  
spark to help us with membership.  You could be the person to make  
this happen!


Chapter archivist
Did you know that we have all sorts of documents, files, email, web  
pages, and other old stuff that are the records of our chapter over  
the past decade or more? This would be an ideal opportunity for a  
student or professional to help us come up with a system for better  
managing our print and electronic archives. We are open to new ideas  
and would love to have a system in place that helps us know what to  
preserve, and how to access and store it.

If you are interested in either of these positions, send an email with

begin the conversation.
