Webpages are becoming the foremost point of contact with library patrons
and users. Thus, information professionals must have the tools to create
attractive and effective websites. Dreamweaver is a powerful web editor
that gives you the tools to build sophisticated interactive sites with ease.

Level 1 will cover the basics of getting started with Dreamweaver.
Topics will include page properties, text editing, inserting images,
browser preview, text and image links, page and site links, and e-mail
links.

Level 2 will explore more sophisticated possibilities for your webpages
including tables, frames, templates, image maps, navigation bars,
animated rollovers, and site builder.

*Paper: History, Manufacture, Materials, Decoration, and a Whole Lot More

This workshop will look at paper from many perspectives -- its invention
in China and movement west; tools, fibers, and equipment used in its
manufacture; Western and Eastern techniques in making it; its
decoration; bibliographic description of paper, primarily for
cataloging; the terminology of paper -- and will answer a number of
questions about paper. The workshop will be held in the instructor’s
home where the students will examine a world-class paper collection and
tools. Lunch will be supplied.
