Over the years, I've met great people at NE ASIS&T events, from participants to speakers.  We've recently set up a Facebook group for NE ASIS&T.  If you're a Facebook user, join our group, and see what your ASIS&T colleagues are up to.  Feel free to start chat threads on the discussion board, or to share your ideas about the kind of events you'd like to see with the NE ASIS&T Board and program committee. 

We'll be posting info on our Facebook page about upcoming events, meetings, and more, in addition to our usual outlets like NEASIS-L, our web site, and our blog http://www.neasist.org/events. 

Speaking of upcoming events, we've got a few things in the works for spring and summer:

-Save the date for the NE ASIS&T annual Awards Dinner on June 12 at the MIT Faculty club.  
Robert Wolfe from MIT will be speaking after dinner about the future of semantic web technologies for libraries, and showing a few demonstrations of his favorite semantic web applications.

NE ASIS&T will be hosting or co-hosting 2 more informal evening events in June and July (actual dates TBA):

-Meetup:  Greener Living through Technology

-Dine-Around with members of SLA Boston

Both of these events are opportunities to catch up with colleagues, hear about the work being done at other libraries/organizations, and to try out new restaurants or pubs.
