Content Management Information Associate -- Fidelity Investments
Summary:
Reporting to the Cataloging/Taxonomy Manager, the Content Management
Information Associate is a member of the Content Management Team.
Primary responsibilities of this position are to provide technical
services including cataloging and taxonomy maintenance of content
contained in the IIS InfoCenter collection, Portals and systems
applications, to contribute to the development and evaluation of
internal applications used by the IIS staff, and to provide back-up for
the Publishing function. The Content Management Information Associate
places high value on meeting the needs of the Equity, High Income, and
CRA Investment professionals and Info Consultants, and understands that
information provided has impact on investment decisions.
Major Responsibilities:
Technical Services
Cataloging/Taxonomy
* Creates original and copy catalog records for internal and
external resources including internal research, market data resources,
serials, books, and websites
* Maintains serial subscription information and schedules within
serials system (EOS)
* Coordinates with Cataloging/Taxonomy Manager in creating and
applying cataloging conventions and standards
* Creates and maintains all documentation on cataloging processes
* Works with Cataloging/Taxonomy Manager to help develop and
maintain IIS Taxonomies
* Assists in taxonomy mapping and retagging projects
* Creates and maintains monthly reports on cataloging statistics
Acquisitions/Document Delivery/Inter Library Loan (ILL)
* Handles all document delivery and ILL requests from Information
Consultants and Investment professionals including bringing problems to
resolution with vendors as needed
* Serves as Back-up for book and serial acquisitions processes
(ordering, claiming, routing)
* Assists in assessing content needs of IIS colleagues and
Investment Professionals to determine, evaluate, and recommend content
options for IIS applications and collections
Systems
* Develops and defines business requirements for cataloging and
taxonomy tools and process improvements
* Partners with Web Development Team in testing system upgrades,
migrations, fixes, and participating in data conversion projects
Publishing
* Serves as Back-up for the publishing of daily and weekly
compilations of internal research as needed
* Serves as primary CCH vendor account contact and obtains
copyright clearances
Other
* Provides support on special projects for Content Management Team
and Director of Content Management as required
* Proactively stays current on content management best practices,
investment industry news, and Information trends
Qualifications
Skills, Experience, and Education:
* Cataloging, classification, and taxonomy experience
* Competence in using Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
* Experience in a corporate library setting
* Masters of Library & Information Science (MLS)
* Strong organization, task prioritization, and work delivery
track record
* Ability to use the Web and search engines as information tools
* Good oral/written communications skills
* Ability to work and function cooperatively as part of team
