Blogs -- feeds -- RSS -- aggregators -- Everybody's heard about them but what are they and what do you do with them? At this workshop you will learn not only what they are but also how to make them work for you! 

Jessica Baumgart writes about issues related to special librarianship, blogging, and feeds on j's scratchpad (http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/jkbaumga/). Rowland Institute at Harvard librarian Garrett Eastman blogs for his library's primary users on the Rowland Institute at Harvard Library Blog (http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/rihlib/). Programmers Shimon Rura and Josh Ain are developing the blog platform <Frassle (http://frassle.rura.org/). Kris Liberman has a strong interest in the use of blogs for knowledge management. 

Spend a day in beautiful western Mass! Mount Holyoke College is located in the Pioneer Valley in South Hadley, Massachusetts. The Willits-Hallowell Center is a full service conference facility located on the campus and within easy walk of many amenities and activities. So come for a drive in the country Š spend the morning exploring Northampton or Deerfield or hiking along wooded trails Š and after the workshop join us for a Dutch treat dinner at Fedora's (http://www.fedorastavern.com/), right across the street.
