The New England Chapter of ASIST is proud to sponsor:

Blogging, RSS Feeds and News Aggregators: a hands-on workshop with Steven
Cohen, 13 November 2003, 9am-12noon at MIT
http://www.asis.org/Chapters/neasis/pc/programs/20031113.html

This workshop run by Stephen Cohen will explore a few of the numerous
software tools that are currently being used to both publish to weblogs as
well as read content via RSS. During the session, attendees will have the
opportunity to post/publish to a weblog, explore the features available
with the software, as well as examine content via a news aggregator. A
basic discussion of weblogs and RSS will be undertaken before we dive into
the training. If you have ever thought about creating your own weblog or
utilizing an aggregator to read news but have been a bit skeptical then
this training session is for you. Please come with your enthusiasm, ideas,
and questions.

This workshop is a hands-on follow-up to our Spring 2003 program, It's Not
Just Google Anymore: Blogs and the Latest in Search Engines, which won the
ASIST "Chapter Event of the Year" award. Attendence at the spring program
is not required to attend the workshop.

Registration is limited to 20, so register now!
