The SLA Minnesota Chapter invites you to attend:
“The Impact of Digital Evidence”
presented by Mark Lanterman, Computer Forensic Services
Please join us Tuesday, May 10 for an evening with Mark Lanterman of
Computer Forensic Services. Computers have dramatically changed the
way companies and their clients do business and how cases are
investigated and litigated. Lanterman will discuss what the pervasive
use of computers means to corporations and their clients, covering
such topics as the benefits and burdens imposed by electronic
evidence, how information can be recovered from computers despite
being "deleted," and options for presenting electronic information. He
will also cover non-traditional evidence sources, such as the iPhone,
iPads and GPS devices.

About the Speaker:
Mark Lanterman is the chief technology officer of Computer Forensic
Services in Minnetonka. Before entering the private sector, Mark spent
11 years as a police investigator and member of the U. S. Secret
Service Electronic Crimes Taskforce. He has routinely assisted the
Secret Service, FBI and the U. S. Attorney's Office as well as
hundreds of law firms and corporations with computer-related
investigations. Mark was recognized by the director of the U. S.
Secret Service for his contributions to law enforcement.
Mark has worked on several high profile cases, including the
investigations of Tom Petters, Denny Hecker and Trevor Cook, the
Pioneer Press/Star Tribune litigation, the Republican National
Convention protest investigation, the Paul McCartney divorce, and most
recently the Intoxilyzer source code analysis. Mark is currently
retained by Chief Judge Michael Davis of the U.S. District Court in
Minnesota as that court's neutral expert.
