Ebooks, ebooks, ebooks. We all keep hearing about ebooks. But how do you go
about purchasing an ebook, and then after you get it what do you do?

If you've had any of these thoughts, the next Metronet Wind Down is right up
your alley!

The Practicals of Pixels: Purchasing and Processing Ebooks
Wednesday, April 27, 4-5:30pm
Roseville Public Library meeting room

2180 Hamline Avenue North, Roseville (Google Map: http://bit.ly/fg08Zd)

What do you need to know to purchase an ebook? Join Dani Roach, Head of
Serials at the University of St Thomas, Carolyn DeLuca, Electronic Resources
Librarian at the University of St Thomas, and Rita Baladad, Electronic
Resources Librarian at Minitex, as they offer a few suggestions. Rita
Baladad will present a survey of current issues in the e-book landscape.
Dani Roach and Carolyn DeLuca will discuss how the University of St Thomas
manages the lifecycle of an ebook - from deciding what to buy to making it
available to end-users.

We hope to see you there!

If you have any questions, contact LeAnn Suchy (leann at metronet.lib.mn.us).
