The Bethel University Library team is seeking an innovative, 
self-motivated, visionary librarian to help lead the library to most 
effectively leverage and integrate digital resources to enhance 
learning and research in an environment that prizes highly 
personalized service.

Responsibilities:   Include identification and development of 
emerging online services, instructional methods and materials, and 
opportunities for integration of digital resources in a portal 
environment. Individual will actively participate in reference and 
instruction to individuals and groups, and mentor team members in 
best online instructional practices. Individual will closely 
collaborate with Library, Information Commons, ITS, and AV personnel.

Requires a MLS degree (equivalent or in process) from an ALA 
accredited institution. Must have demonstrated knowledge of teaching 
and learning theories and their application in a digital environment; 
familiarity with emerging library-related trends and applications; 
and ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with 
faculty, students, and staff from diverse educational and cultural 
backgrounds. Reference experience in an academic library with 
demonstrated technical ability in online instructional resource 
design highly desirable.

Position to start June 2007.

Salary Grade 12, Minimum salary $37,898, FT, 12 months, exempt, benefits
