Library Associates seeks an experienced Systems Librarian for a law firm in 
Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Systems Librarian will provide project 
management and act as a liaison between the Information Resources 
department and other technology departments in the firm to ensure that all 
library systems are running properly.

Responsibilities

* Provide project management of technology-related Information Resources 
initiatives, including SydneyPLUS' integration with Elite, and other 
projects as assigned.
* Manage and maintain SydneyPLUS and WRP (LookUp Precision).
* Help produce and troubleshoot WRP scripts when the vendors make changes 
to their web sites.
* Work with Manager of Technical Services to evaluate and improve the 
workflow and output of the Information Resources department and design and 
develop the resulting applications using tools such as SydneyPLUS, Crystal 
Reports, and other technologies.
* Work with Information Resources staff to develop creative reporting 
solutions using Crystal Reports - manage the report collection and any 
necessary software updates.
* Serve as the principal liaison between Information Resources and the 
other technology departments to ensure the continued effectiveness of the 
all library systems.
* Keep up with emerging technological developments to apply 
computing-related technologies to information, communication, and learning 
initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

* Master's degree from an ALA-accredited program, including formal 
coursework in information technology and 3+ years of experience working in 
libraries.

* Experience managing an integrated library system preferred.

* Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word 6.0, Excel);

* Experience with Crystal Reports, SydneyPLUS, LookUp Precision, and 
relational databases preferred;

* Strong project management skills.  Ability to work on multiple tasks, 
prioritizing as necessary;

* Strong analytical and reasoning skills;

* Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals at all levels of 
an organization;

* Customer service orientation;

* Ability to work under time deadlines.
