Posting Title:  Marketing Content Manager

Job Description:
As a Marketing Content Manager, you will play a key role in planning,
implementing, and supporting Marketing digital asset initiatives. You
will primarily be responsible for developing strategy and maintaining
taxonomy, metadata, and key word structures to categorize digital assets
for the Marketing pyramid to ensure Marketing team members can search
and easily find digital assets. You will also work closely with the
Marketing Business Process Team Manager and TTS development and
infrastructure teams.

In addition, you will lead two other teams which develop and contribute
a significant amount of information to the corporation, the Corporate
Library and Corporate Archives.

* Building a relevant and scalable content management cataloging strategy
to classify Marketing digital assets for search and retrieval
* Defining Marketing taxonomy, metadata, and appropriate key word
strategies
* Specifying how taxonomy elements will be applied to new digital assets
and how taxonomy improvements will be applied to existing digital assets
* Participating in the definition of valued asset and valued asset
criteria
* Participating in the creation of policies and procedures for production
management of digital assets
* Participating in the planning for new digital asset projects
* Leading and motivating the Corporate Library and Archives team members
* Leading the overall strategy and content/functionality development for
the MAGIC intranet site
* Leveraging the information within the teams to advance the corporation's
knowledge
* Continuing to increase level of service and process within the teams

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
* Library or Information Science degree or related college degree or
equivalent experience
* Significant experience developing and maintaining keyword libraries and
hierarchical classification systems
* 5+ years comparable responsibility in independent, hands-on, multi-task,
deadline driven environment
* Taxonomy development and management, familiarity with industry standards
groups (such as ISO, SIC/NAIC), understanding of metadata and ability to
validate usability of taxonomies with internal user groups (Marketing
teams) as well as external audiences
* Prior experience in a strategic taxonomy planning role
* Understanding of the Internet industry and how users perform searches
* Exceptional project development and project management skills
* Proven exceptional writing/editing/proofreading skills (style, grammar,
syntax)
* Excellent skills in Word, Excel and related databases
* Solid writing skills with an ability to present information in a clear
and creative manner
* A high degree of motivation, strong organizational skills, and attention
to detail
* Willingness to work as part of a team to identify and develop new and
creative ideas for disseminating information
* Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism

Desired Requirements:
Masters Degree in Library or Information Science
* Knowledge of markup languages (i.e. XML)
* Knowledge of emerging metadata standards
* Knowledge of cataloging standards and trends (e.g. Dublin Core, MARC21, 
etc.)
* Experience with digital rights management
* Familiarity with digital asset management and enterprise content
management software packages (e.g. Artesia, Documentum, etc.)
* Experience with desktop publishing software, HTML authoring, and Web
development
* Background in graphic arts, digital media, advertising, printing, and/or
web publishing
