Sorry for the short notice folks! I think this will be a good one -
especially for anyone who has thought about getting a little more technical
to get a job - or anyone who works with (or needs to work with) the serious
database developers.

ASIS&T presents "The Life of an SQL expert"

Some Library and Information people have experience with very large
databases with complex queries like DIALOG, Factiva and Lexis/Nexis. This
leads to our interest in "SQL, Structured Query Language" of database
development and proprietary database support.

Our guest (speaker) will be

WILLIAM C. BARRETT

President of Regional Transportation Systems, Inc. St. Paul, MN. He
provides professional consulting to business and government.

He has 18 years of SQL experience including PL/SQL Package development and
design, system and Oracle database design, Oracle PL/SQL, and Oracle Forms
based application development for business and government clients. Mr.
Barrett will tell us about his career and field questions about SQL and the
life of a database developer. We look forward to learning about SQL
applications and skills.

We will meet on Feb. 23rd (a change to Thursday for THIS meeting) 5:00 to
6:30 pm Centers of Excellence 3rd floor of the Coeur de Catherine (Room 211)
College of St. Catherine.
