The South Central (WI) Library System (in Madison, Wisconsin) is seeking a 
creative and energetic Library Technology Coordinator to provide technology 
leadership and support to its 52 member public libraries in a seven-county 
area.

Primary responsibilities include planning and supporting technology 
projects for members and staff of the South Central Library System in a 
wide variety of areas, including virtual reference, digitization, and 
workstation time/print management; coordinating and supporting the 
evaluation, selection, and implementation of electronic databases; 
providing leadership in the area of technology; providing coordination and 
administrative support for library web development; and supervising and 
managing a technology group of 3 people.

Qualifications:  MLS from an ALA accredited library school desired. Minimum 
3 years experience in and/or consulting with libraries required.  Qualified 
candidates will have had success in planning, implementing, supporting, and 
evaluating library technology projects, a thorough understanding of current 
trends and developments in library technology, excellent problem-solving 
skills, and proficiency with computer applications.  Some knowledge of 
computer programming and hardware, website development, digitization 
projects and library authentication, and some experience working with 
library vendors is desired.  A sense of humor, good written and verbal 
communication and presentation skills, the ability to work in a 
collaborative environment, and a passion for service are essential.  This 
position also requires a car and the ability to travel independently.

Compensation range: $52,806 - $56,856.  Excellent benefits.
