LIBRARY SUPERVISOR SENIOR

(Library/Info Res Svcs Prog Supervisor Senior)

$39,192 - $57,002

This position will manage the knowledge based information services of
the Minnesota Department of Health RN Barr Library, which serves
department staff and local public and school health professionals.
Duties include: hiring and supervising employees; providing reference
service to clients; planning for advances in access to information;
consulting with program staff to analyze their information needs;
directing the acquisition and cataloging of all print and non-print
materials; producing educational materials and displays for inclusion in
the library as needed; providing classes or tutorials on database
searching and bibliographic software; and maintaining an up-to-date
library website.

Requirements are professional supervisory/management experience in a
library/information services setting.  Experience in providing health
science materials and reference knowledge of the principles and
practices of library science and operations.  A Masters in Library
Science or similar degree or advanced class work toward a degree is also
required.
