Description
Thomson Legal & Regulatory (TLR) is a leading provider of integrated
information solutions to legal, tax, accounting, intellectual property,
compliance, business and government professionals around the world. 
 
Thomson West, a division of TLR, is seeking an Ontology QA Coordinator
to join the Ontology team. This individual will establish and manage all
QA activities for Ontology assets.   

Responsibilities
* Develop and manage automated, semi-automated and manual QA processes
for Ontology assets, including taxonomy files, authority data, mapping
files and classification and extraction models.  
* Establish a QA environment for ongoing testing purposes.  
* Incorporate user statistics and customer feedback into QA processes.
Design and implement automatic feedback loops from automated
classification/extraction systems to Editorial processes.
* Create and maintain Test Plan and Release Notes documentation.  
* Ensure the quality of Ontology assets deployed to production meet
established criteria.
* Manage tracking and resolution of Ontology QA issues.    
* Provide clear and consistent reports to Ontology Team and senior
management.
* Work closely with Editorial/Ontology staff in multiple locations to
identify needs and establish processes.
* Manage QA processes for multiple external and internal customers.
* Ensure work and projects are aligned with Ontology priorities and
procedures.
* Ensure that data integrity issues are identified and proactively
addressed.
 

Qualifications
* 4 years QA experience.
* Experience with taxonomies, authorities and classification/extraction
technologies.
* Familiarity with Business Information and News content and products.
* Extensive knowledge of XML.  
* Ability to write complex database queries and test scripts.
* Strong process orientation and knowledge of the software development
life cycle.
* Experience with online database searching.
* Excellent verbal/written communication and problem-solving skills.
* Extremely detail oriented.
