Internet Fears - Rational and Irrational

If I forward an email to my friend can the original sender access my
friend's email address? I'm getting messages saying that I sent out a virus
- but I know I didn't. What's the problem? Can my boss see what I'm surfing?
Can I see what my staff is surfing? Is my identity safe or am I going to be
featured on one of those Citibank commercials buying a robot for the prom?

We all have needling fears or reservations about the Internet. Technology
experts from MAP for Nonprofits (http://www.mapfornonprofits.org
<http://www.mapfornonprofits.org/> ) have offered to come and answer all of
our questions - big and little. You can even email your question in advance
and they'll come prepared.

The session will be held in Room 355 of the new Coeur de Catherine building
on the College of St. Catherine's Campus. So, this is also a chance to see
the new CSC library too. In fact, the library staff has volunteered to give
a tour before the meeting (at 5:30) for anyone who is interested. It's worth
a tour! Also parking on Campus is much easier at 5:25 than it is at 5:55.
(RSVP if you want the tour.)

As an added bonus at least one MLIS class will be attending the event, so
it's a chance to meet new colleagues!
