Web Design & Usability: Tips, Techniques & Best Practices
May 19, 2004
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm ET
Darlene Fichter, Data Library Coordinator, University of Saskatchewan
Description
Building a successful library site is becoming a mission-critical
application. How do you know that your library site works and is easy to
use? This seminar provides usability tests and techniques that assist with
"user-focused" design. It is peppered with real life examples of testing of
library navigation systems, virtual reference services, and subject
portals. Take home tips, exercises, examples and guidelines for carrying
out your own testing and making your site better for users.
